BEIJING — Following is a breakdown of China’s retail sales for September, published by the National Bureau of Statistics on Friday. (Percent change from a year earlier):Sep Aug Jul Jun May Apr Retail Sales YoY in China is expected to be 6.00 percent by the end of this quarter, according to Trading Economics global macro models and analysts expectations. Looking forward, we estimate Retail Sales YoY in China to stand at 7.50 in 12 months time. Note this update only covers China-made light vehicles. Retail and Wholesales are obviously inter-connected, with poor retail sales triggering poor wholesales the following month as dealer reduce their orders to allow existing stock to clear. The country’s retail sales rose 10.7% in September 2016 compared to a 10.6% rise in August. This reading was above the market expectations of a 10.6% rise, and it was the highest since January 2016. Four Japanese OEMs announced their sales results in China for September 2019. Nissan announced on October 10 that it sold 134,713 units in September in China, reflecting a 4.6% y/y decrease in sales. September sales of the 7th-generation Altima, Lannia, Tiida, Kicks and Qashqai increased.
